Shady

Several weeks ago, I saw a flier in uni advertising a Computer Game Club.

The only thing on that flier was the club name and a phone number.

I was kinda curious and decided to play around - what kind of club only advertises a phone number? No meeting dates? No events?

I texted : "Wat?"

Didn't expect a reply but turns out I got one and he asked if I was texting about the club. Had a couple more texts and turns out there were LAN parties and stuff. Guess I could drop by for a look during event dates. So I guess I'll give it a shot.

---------------------

Just now, I got a text from him about a LAN party. It sounded like he was only addressing me. I figured there would be a mass text so he'd address us like "Hey, would you guys..." But, okay, I'll let this slide, he had poor typing anyway.

Note : He only told me about a LAN party, no location or time.

"Come on man, would be fun! we need mre ppl, what games u into?"

"Runescape."

"Lol. Any fps? Or rts. Games like half life or portal or etc?"

"[Reply involving what games I play]"

"K. Well il be at uni 2mo. if u wanna meet up and play sme lan games i dont mind. Im down 4 what eva reali."

Still no time or actual location. Sounded like it was just me and him. Really suspicious.

"Okay."

"So il meet u at uni 2morrw? What time is gud 4 u?"

Okay, good for me? That doesn't sound very organized. Also, again he's just asking ME, no others.

"Wait, is it only just two people?"

"Nah, there should b mre ppl coming, though im nt entirely sure on da numbers. Also do u play warcraft much?"

"Kinda. Also, you didn't mention time and exact location."

"Itl be at noon in the owen g glen building. Um, cn u bring a router nd al the other necessities 4 a lan?"

Now that I'm blogging about this, I just realised he suddenly came up with a time even though he asked me what time would be good just now. Anyway, it gets better.

"What. I don't have any of those. I just wanted to drop by and have a look too, don't wanna lug my laptop over it's heavy." [I was too suspicious of him to agree to bringing my laptop over.]

"Wel if ure nt interested il c u later."

"Okay."

"Waste my time"

Quite a club leader, eh?
