Glen Innes International Carnival

Glen Innes is a town here, let's call it GI for short.

There was an International Carnival type thing over there on Oct 15th. I joined the Cosplay Club there. The cosplayers were part of the parade. The carnival wasn't all too interesting but hanging out with the club members is always fun.

After the parade, we went for lunch at McD's and pretty much waited there till 2pm. Then we went outside and just sat around till 3pm because some members were gonna do a performance for the carnival. I fell asleep for a wee bit while sitting on the grass. whaaat?

Anyway, after the performance, we hopped on the train back to Auckland and went into a mall.

Here's the thing - our president had two model swords for fun (one is Lightning's sword from FF13 and another is just some chinese sword). Another guy (Dante from DMC) had a sword as well for his cosplay (Rebellion).

So we sat at the mall for a bit and the security guard came up and started talking to us about how we're not supposed to bring weapons in the building.

I thought he was being a dick lol. (they're technically not weapons!)

But turns out, if you think about it, if you're a drunk guy, anything is a weapon. And guess what? It was the night for Wales vs France in the Rugby World Cup. People are probably in the progress of being drunk!

So the president, Dante and I went out to wait for the rest to finish relaxing.

Then the police came...
